We start this circular hike in Flims Unterwaldhaus, at the recently opened Hotel Flem Mountain Lodge. The successful bike twins "Caro + Anita Gehrig" have built up a second mainstay with this hotel and the associated café/restaurant. In the stylishly furnished café, in addition to homemade cakes and in-house coffee roasting, excellent Graubünden wine is offered with fresh regional cuisine. A visit is therefore worthwhile at any time of day. After the first refreshment, the route leads up a steep ascent to the Waldhaus church and a few metres through the Waldhaus part of the village to the Bistro Kaufmannfrauen. This restaurant is also run by two sisters and invites you to linger. The friendly service and homemade cakes are just as convincing as the exquisite Graubünden wines. After visiting the bistro, the path leads through the Flims forest, past the viewpoint to Lake Cauma, to the Chadafö bar of the Sternehaus Waldhaus Wellness Resort. A good drop of Graubünden wine is served in a cosy and quiet ambience. It is up to the connoisseur to decide whether to watch the open fire or simply savour the peace and quiet. Before it gets too cosy, we set off for the last highlight of this circular hike. The Bündner Stube of the Hapimag holiday village is well worth a visit. Guests are spoiled with delicacies from the region and surprised with vegetarian/vegan creations. This is a great way to end the day with a glass of Graubünden wine.
