Always downhill, this hike overcomes several hundred meters in altitude. Through light and shady sections different viewpoints are passed. Another plus: at regular intervals mountain restaurants line the route.

Who does not like to fight uphill, is exactly right on this hike: From the valley station in Flims, it goes comfortably by chairlift up to Foppa and with a short change to the mountain station Naraus. The sun terrace with a deep view of the Flims plateau offers itself for a first short break. The trail now always leads downhill over open terrain. It offers a wide view over the Surselva. The summit panorama dominates the Signina Group. After about 45 minutes Startgels is reached, which is at 1600 meters at the foot of the Grauberg. On the Punt Startgels bridge, the route crosses the Vorderrhein tributary Flem. Through the winter forest the path meanders to the Runcahöhe, which can be reached in about an hour. It is idyllically nestled between a clearing above the Flims. The rest of the hiking time of just over 30 minutes promises to cool down: the path leads through the shady forest Uaulla Runca to the valley.

Turn-by-turn directions

Starting point for the hike is the valley station in Flims. From there, the chairlift brings us to Foppa and with a short change to the mountain station Naraus. The trail leads over open terrain and thus offers a wide view of the valley. After 45 minutes we reach the mountainrestaurant Startgels. The cozy mountain restaurant with its sun terrace invites you to linger and strengthen before you continue to the mountain restaurant Runcahöhe which is reached after about an hour. Again, the restaurant and the terrace offer the opportunity for a break. The remaining hiking time of about 35 minutes leads through the shady Uaulla Runca to the valley to Flims.
