Symbolically, the circular hike through the lower part of the heart region starts at the 0 kilometre marker near the Protestant village church of Samedan. It leads slightly uphill through the historic village centre and opens up the view of the Upper Engadin mountain world shortly after the school building. Soon the culmination point is reached at the Muntarütsch shooting range and the route continues downhill through the larch woods towards Bever. From Bever the hike follows the Beverin and Inn back to the centre of Samedan. If you want to give your tired legs a rest, visit the Mineralbad & Spa Samedan at the end of the tour.
