This route starts at the Bergün train station and takes you along part of the road to Stuls. The road merges into a winter hiking trail which leads steadily upwards through a forest to the junction at Buorchas. There you have the option of taking a side trip to Stuls. This small village, and the little church in particular. is always worth a visit.
From Buorchas the trail follows the road towards Latsch, from which point you can enjoy the superb view over Bergün and the Albula Valley. On the way to Latsch you can extend the walk a little more: On the right side the path branches off to the panorama path, which after a sunny loop flows back into the road.
The mountain village of Latsch, located above Bergün, was in fact the setting for the Heidi films shot in 1952 and 2014. You may even hear someone talking about the films being made here if you stop off at the village restaurant before setting off on the descent via Latscherhalde and back to the family-friendly holiday resort of Bergün.
