From the St. Moritz cross-country ski centre, the trail leads to the Olympic ski jump and then to the Lej Marsch, a special mountain lake in the middle of the forest. From there the path leads down to Lej da Champfèr. If the conditions allow, the path crosses the lake of Champfèr with a great view on Piz Corvatsch and Piz da la Margna. If the lake is not yet frozen, the path along the side of the lake serves as an alternative. After crossing the lake, the path branches off to the left and goes past the little farm and up into the forest. After this short ascent, follow the winter hiking trail to the right towards Lej Nair. The path winds its way up through an intact coniferous forest, passes moorland and then reaches the lovely Lej Nair. The trail then descends to the Olympic ski jump where you can eather take the same route back to the St. Moritz cross-country ski centre or continue along the road and take the lower trail back along the main road.

Author’s recommendation

If the Maloja wind is strong, the tour can also be done in the opposite direction.
