The tour starts directly in the village, approx. 250 metres behind the “Prada” shop on Via Tinus, with a short climb and up the steps to the right. Follow the sign for “Alp Laret” and head up the trail through dense shrubs towards the television tower. At the tower, enjoy the view over St. Moritz, then continue along the forest road towards Alp Laret, which passes around 700 metres behind the tower. Run up the forest road until you cross the gondola cableway. Here the signpost points across meadows to the left. This beautiful single trail is not frequently used and sometimes needs looking for. However, it should be easy to negotiate with the red-white-red markings on the stones. The single trail across the meadow ends at a wider road. This descends to the left towards the “Olympia Run” lift station. Pass the lift building (look out for the marking) and head towards the scree slope and the mountain bike flow trail. On the running trail, you can race against mountain bikers, for the bike trail runs parallel to it. The path then winds in a long righthand loop and leads towards the Alp Nova and on below the Chantarella funicular railway. The route continues along a lower winding path, always in the direction of the Chantarella station. Here you cross the bike trail again and arrive at a signpost to St. Moritz. Here, however, it is well worth taking a short detour to the “Altobar” at the Chantarella station and treating yourself to a delicious homemade iced tea or an Argentinian burger! Afterwards, run down the single trail that you originally ran up, which takes you back to the starting point.
