The sledding trail is open every day. Note, the path is also used by pedestrians. Take the Rhaetian Railway from Litzirüti back to Arosa (chargeable).

With every metre of altitude, every bend and every viaduct, it becomes more wintry. Over 350 bends have to be negotiated from Chur up to Arosa. The toboggan run immediately after the start is pretty much straight downhill. It starts at Untersee, which lies at just under 1700 metres. The route follows the tracks of the red Arosa railway to the Isel reservoir about 100 metres further down. Shortly afterwards, the train line is crossed. From here, the route follows the river Plessur over gentle curves. Most of the route leads through dense fir forests. In the second half, in the steep terrain - on the right hand side of the foaming Plessur - lies the huge erosion funnel Blau Rüfi. While the Rhaetian Railway now makes two wide bends, the toboggan run leads directly into the area "in da Brünscht" and to the destination in Litzirüti. Settled by Walsers, the village at 1450 metres originally consisted only of individual farms. Today it lives almost exclusively from summer and especially winter tourism. The RhB runs back to Arosa every hour. All in all, this toboggan run is a little less racy and is perfect for enjoying. Also because of the beautiful view: time and again, the view of the region's peaks, including the Schiesshorn or the Tijerfluh, becomes clear between the narrowly standing firs. And when the trees block the view, with a bit of luck you will spot one or two forest dwellers.

Author’s recommendation

At the end of the toboggan run in Litzirüti, treat yourself to a hot Schockolade in one of the restaurants.
