The Davos Landscape Trail is an educational nature trail, which provides facts about different natural, cultural and environmental issues relating to the Davos landscape on information panels. The path follows existing hiking trails from Davos Dorf to Davos Frauenkirch. It can be walked along all year and is well signposted. There is a richly illustrated booklet with detailed information on the various topics. Interesting background information provides information on the relationships between the individual topics. The brochure is available free of charge here and from the municipal offices in the Town Hall in Davos Platz.

Since 1998, the information panels on the Davos Landscape Trail (Landschaftsweg) have been leading curious and interested hikers and walkers through the history of Davos and giving them an idea of the current situation.

First and foremost, the municipality hopes that the Davos Landscape Trail will make people aware of the landscape. The aim is to bring guests closer to the wonderful diversity of the Davos landscape. This is done, firstly, by providing information on natural, historical and cultural issues, which are of major, political and environmental importance for the development of the town. On the other hand, the information panels also deliver simple natural knowledge, much of which comes from research work conducted in or on the Davos landscape. The Landscape Trail is intended to stimulate a conversation about the present and future of the town.

Panels provide information on the following:

Davos climate

Spatial planning

Natural hazard posed by torrents

Davos forests

Davos townscape

Davos spa resort

The air we breathe

Davos Town Hall

Winter sports in Davos

Natural hazard posed by avalanches
