This trail starts on the scenic mountain Curnius. Curnius is at 1644 meters above sea level. and looks towards the sun. This route is only downhill in a positive sense and is not as steep as the snowshoe tour no. 200. Through forest passages and open alpine pastures, it leads to the historic village of Falera. Falera has been inhabited for over 3,000 years and was an important sun-worship site at that time. The megalithic site - one of the largest of its kind in Switzerland - is still proof of that today. The snowshoe tour offers breathtaking views over the Val Lumnezia and the Grisons mountains. With the face to the sun you are in the middle of the sun terrace. Once in Falera, there are various ways to warm up and stop.

The snowshoe tour starts in Curnius at 1644 meters above sea level. and leads comfortably in forests and along the sun-drenched slope to Falera at 1220 m above sea level. The almost four-kilometer-long route runs over wide alpine areas and through short forest sections. Here you can enjoy a beautiful view over the Surselva to Chur, from Val Lumnezia to far in the direction of Obersaxen. At the destination of the trail are many restaurants. These serve typical Grisons dishes, such as Malun's house specialty with alpine cheese and applesauce.
