This short stage leads from the Valley of the Dischma stream into the Davos countryside, specifically to Davos village railway station. Walking along along this gently falling trail across meadows, at times on the left and at other times on the right of the young, crystal-clear Dischma stream, it is worth pondering about the life of this small stream, which starts its life high up here, from Davos becomes the «Landwasser», then becomes the Albula and Posterior Rhine until finally, after its confluence with the Anterior Rhine, continues as the «River Rhine».
Davos originated as a Valais farming settlement to become an Alpine city, which predominantly lives from tourism. Thus alongside historical witnesses of a time gone by, there are also state-of-the-art amenities, strikingly illustrating the evolution of mankind in the last centuries.
Note(s)
Important: The Grisons Way, in Romansh the Via Son Giachen, takes pilgrims from the Val Müstair and the South Tyrol through the Canton of Grisons and then through the canton of Uri to the «Inner Swiss Way», which it joins at Seelisberg/Oberdorf above Lake Lucerne. Certain section of this hiking route, which is extremely Alpine in parts (signposted as regional route 43 and then 77 as far as Amsteg), can naturally only be walked towards summer.

Author’s recommendation
"The place where leaders meet" ist seit Jahrzehnten das stolze Motto, wenn Davos das jährliche Treffen des World Econoic Forum durchführt. Dann sind alle Betten belegt.
