Tarasp – Val Plavna – Tarasp
The varied route in Val Plavna leads through beautiful forest paths and the Pradatsch plain to Alp Plavna and back.
moderate
Distance 22.1 km
Ascent via Champosch and Vallatscha to Alp Laisch. From here, the route continues into Val Plavna, now somewhat flatter, to Alp Plavna. The plain near Pradatsch, also called "la Sahara", has its very own charm. The stream is often not visible here under the scree - you can only hear it rushing underneath you.
On the way back, keep to the right just before Alp Laisch and follow the flowing trail along the Plavna stream back to Tarasp.
Author’s recommendation
The alp Plavna is open to the public. For information about the opening of the alp you can reach our tourist information in Scuol at: +41 81 861 88 00.
