Resisting the temptation of the couch isn’t easy - but those who step-out of their comfort zone now and then, are rewarded with great experiences. Experiences like the Segnar-tour, a mountain bike tour which goes once around the Flimserstein.

Starting from Flims, climbing up the mountain roads via Fidaz, up to the Berghaus Bargis (Bargis mountain hut) you ride straight into the impressive plateau. The initially easily-ridable road gets steeper and rougher, it then leads into a single trail and, finally, even the strongest mountain bikers may have to push their bikes up the mountain. The ascent is reached on the Fuorcla Raschaglius at 2,551 meters above sea level.

Then begins the fantastic single trail passage. The easily-ridable path, which passes over the rocky high valley at the foot of Piz Segnas, reaches the ridge of the mountain at La Siala. An extended break can be taken here. The impressive tectonic layers can be seen here too, as well as the Martinsloch high up in the Tschingelhörnern.

Now begins the descent back to Flims. This ride is down to the Segnas level, reaching the Segnes hut and a ride over the well-known Nagens-trail up to the Weiler Runca trail back to Flims.

Author’s recommendation

Berghaus (mountain hut) Bargis (https://www.bargis-flims.ch/de/) and Ustria Segnes (https://grandislaax.ch/de/Ustria-Segnes) with fine Bündner specialities to strengthen you.
