Secret-Trail Madrisa
Mountainbiking
· Davos Klosters
The local mountain of Klosters - the Madrisa - offers several mountain bike descents into the valley to choose from. The Secret Trail is a demanding variant that requires technical riding skills and is particularly popular with the locals. The tour leads past Zügenhüttli and Donnerstein and then via Ronenwald down to Klosters.

The tour starts at the train station Klosters Dorf. From there it goes along the cantonal road for a while and branches off to the right shortly before leaving the village onto a mountain road. Before the second serpentine you change to the hiking trail, which takes you in a steady up and down to Pagrüeg and further to just before Saas. The following mountain road leads with a constant gradient over about ten kilometers and 1,000 meters of altitude up to the Madrisa. Past the Madrisa station, the route then continues to Alp Untersäss and then to Zügenhüttli. From here the challenging single trail begins. It leads past the Donnerstein and further through the Ronenwald, high above the Schlappintobel. The final descent begins at the hamlet of Flue and ends just above the Madrisabahn valley station. Finally, you return to the train station on the road through Klosters.
Author’s recommendation
Stop at the Madrisa-Alp or at the Madrisa-Hof and fortify yourself before the challenging descent.
