On a sign in Puschlav we came across it: Sentiero – the name of a place that sounds like adventure. But where is it, this ominous Sentiero? In our search we find great single trails and beautiful places. But something is accompanying us: the weird feeling of having misunderstood something.

The San Romerio tour begins on the Bernina Pass just above the train station. A varied single trail leads downhill on the south side, after which you cross the road and climb a few meters. From there, ultimate fun is guaranteed – and that all the way down to San Carlo. On the way you will pass La Rösa while always following the specially prepared mountain bike trails. In San Carlo, the long climb to San Romerio awaits. This climb takes you up a small road to Cruvera and shortly after you will reach the signposted mountain bike route which leads you to San Romerio. The excellent Rifugio is the ideal place for a (late) lunch break. There are two options for the descent. The direct version to Caneu on the Lago di Poschiavo is very demanding and only for skilled bikers but a worthwhile route. Less experienced bikers follow the alpine road for a while and then take the first right. In a mixture of trails and small roads you will reach Miralogo on the Lago di Poschiavo. Here you can get on the train which takes you back to the Bernina Pass.

Betr.
