From Flims the route leads via Fidaz past the mighty rock face of the Flimstein into the high valley Bargis and on to the hidden waterfalls of the "cathedral" Rusna.
Distance 11.3 km
This technically easy tour leads up to the high valley of Bargis. After the start in Flims, the first part of the tour is on the asphalt road uphill via the Walser village of Fidaz past the mighty rock face of the Flimstein to Bargis. The Berghaus Bargis offers the best fruit cake in the region.
After the well-earned refreshment, you continue on a natural road through the picturesque high valley. The road leads along the mighty Flimserstein over the plateau, then rises slowly and ends at Alp Rusna. Behind Alp Rusna, the narrow, class-like entrance to the "Cathedral" is on the left. A footpath leads along the stream through the steep rock faces. The two waterfalls that rush down from the high pulpit are the hallmarks of this unique natural monument.
The descent back on the same path as you ascended. Watch out for oncoming traffic when descending from Barigs to Flims!
