Alp Mora, official trail no. 251
While at higher altitudes there is at best already snow, the trails in the valley are still free of snow. Our interactive snow depth map helps you to plan your tour. Here you can see at a glance at www.flims.com/schneesituation where you can already expect snow on the paths and trails and where you can still be on the road without getting cold feet.
An impressive tour with many metres of altitude difference from Trin up to Alp Mora and to the famous glacier mills in Val Maliens.
The forest road now climbs steeper for 300 Hm. At 1700 m.a.s.l. the road goes straight on for 1.5 km. The path leads through the forest, which provides pleasant shade, but still offers a view of the Safiental and Piz Beverin.
Return to signpost 408 and don't miss the detour to the glacier mills in Val Maliens (mountain trail only partially drivable). This is especially worthwhile on hot days, as the whirlpools form natural bathtubs in which the water is wonderfully warm and invites you to take a bath.Back to Trin we take the same way.
On the whole tour there is no possibility to get something to eat.
For very good drivers who are free from giddiness, the descent into the Bargis valley (not signposted, not georeferenced) is a challenging alternative.
