The lower Segnesboden is an ancient plateau. Here, fens provide a special habitat for plants and animals, and watercourses always sparkle in new places.

The plateau can be experienced on a two-and-a-half-hour hike from Nagens. The Lower Segnesboden is part of the national inventory of fens of special beauty and importance. At the same time, the Lower Segnesboden is one of only two fen conservation areas in Switzerland that has no traces of settlement. On the hike you pass the Segnes hut, which tempts you to take a rest.

While at higher altitudes there is at best already snow, the trails in the valley are still free of snow. Our interactive snow depth map helps you to plan your tour. Here you can see at a glance at www.flims.com/schneesituation where you can already expect snow on the paths and trails and where you can still be on the road without getting cold feet.
