The high Soreda Pass offers spectacular views over the mountains of the Adula massif in the east and south as well as over the Scaradra Valley in the west. Descent into the picturesque Blenio Valley, also called the Valle del Sole or Sonnental (Sunny Valley).

The 3,402 m high Rheinwaldhorn sits enthroned at the end of the Länta Valley. The green pastures of the Lampertschalp mountain farm contrast with the imposing, rugged rock faces of the Länta Valley. You enjoy views of the pretty picturesque mountain lake below the Soreda Pass. The Plattenberg / Piz Scharboden area impresses with its geological diversity. And the view over the Vals mountains or into the Blenio Valley from the Soreda Pass more than makes up for the effort of the ascent.

Turn-by-turn directions

In 35 minutes from the Länta Hut SAC or in 2 hours and 30 minutes from Zervreila you reach where the trail branches off to the Soreda Pass south of the Lampertschalp. From there a moderately steep marked mountain trail takes 2 hours up to the Soreda Pass (2,759 m). The Soreda Pass is 2,759 m high. The descent from the pass down to Blenio Valley is steep and leads over scree and pastures at the far end of the Scaradra Valley. Hike out of the valley on the right-hand slope until you reach Luzzone Valley. At Lake Luzzone follow the paved road to Campo Blenio (1,215 m).

Alternative: From Zervreila to Lampertschalp (2 hours 15 minutes) mountain farm, then continue towards Länta Hut SAC, after approx. 400 m turn right towards Point 2374 for the Soreda Pass.

By the way: You can reach the Greina high plateau as well as the neighbouring Motterascio, Scaletta, Terri and Adula huts on day hikes of varying lengths from the Soreda Pass.
