Piz Padella is a relatively easy mountain to climb high above Samedan with a beautiful view.
Distance 9 km
We start this strenuous but beautiful hike in the middle of Samedan. The path begins with the climb up to the church of San Peter and then zigzags all the way to Alp Munt. A stop to enjoy the view is always worthwhile. Because the path after requires concentration and for the last stretch to the summit of Piz Padella, surefootedness and a head for heights are an advantage. Surefootedness is also required for the steep descent to the high trail. Afterwards, it's a leisurely walk to Marguns and the ride down in the gondola is a pleasure.
If you want to avoid the steep climb, you can go via Muntarütsch up to Alp Muntatsch and thus to Piz Padella.
