At the valley station of the Diavolezza cable car, the trail crosses the pass road and follows the road for a short distance before joining a gravel road. Down over the bridge and into the Val da Fain, following the gravel road. Very often a marmot whistles and the flora is also special in this valley. After a good half hour, the trail branches off to the left and leads in a steep zigzag to the rocks of the Piz Albris. For the last part, surefootedness and a head for heights are essential, and the wide Fuorcla Pischa plateau opens out with its many small lakes. This area is home to one of the largest ibex colonies in the Alps. With luck and a good eye, the king of the Alps can be spotted among the rocks. On the plateau, the trail branches off to the right and leads via Lej da la Pischa and Fuorcla Prünella to Val Prünella. You descend now 600 metres in altitude to Alp Prünella. There the path joins the gravel road, which you follow as far as Chamues-ch.

Author’s recommendation

Start the tour early, the Val Chamuera still stretches quite far to Chamues-ch.
