The ascent already offers wonderful views stretching as far as the Upper Engadine. Up on the plateau itself, it is well worth making a small yet rewarding detour to the Lai dal Dragun, a lake which, according to legend, is home to a little dragon.
Safety informationCaution: Snow fields are possible on the upper sections right through to the summer months. Zernez and Lavin are both easily reached by train and bus. This hike requires good physical condition (8-hour hike), sure-footedness, and the appropriate equipment.
Caution: sure-footedness, a head for heights, and good orientation skills in bad weather are essential.
