Rather easy hike because you start the day with a cable car ride up to the mountain station Motta Naluns. From here the trail goes up a little, until the way leads down crossing various meadows and small rivers to Sent.

4th stage: Scuol – (Gondel) – Motta Naluns – Val Ruschna/Jonvrai – Salez – Vastur – Sent (up 201m, down 925m, duration 3.00 hrs). In the morning you can take the cable car up to „Motta NAluns“ and follow the Via Engiadina trek to Sent. At the mountain the trail leads parallel to another ski lift tot he mountain restaurant „Chamanna Naluns“ (no open during summertime). Below the restaurant the trail turns right to „Jonvrai“. Before you reach the ski lift station „Jonvrai“ the way turns right again. Be aware oft he hiking marks here! From here the trail goes down through the Clozza valley with direction to „Vastur“, a little mountain restaurant opend during summertime. From there the descent to Sent takes about one hour. From sent you can walk back to Scuol (+1 hr) or take the bus.

Also possible for hikers with dogs. However be aware of cows and wild animals.

This tour got evaluated during summertime with good weather conditions. We highly recommend to check always the current weather forecast and plan your hikings according to that.

All hiking trails along the Via Engiadina trek require alpine experience and good orienteering. Furthermore stable hiking boots are recommended.

Equipment

High and stable hiking shoes or boots, warm cloths, sun protection and rain cover. Furthermore hiking sticks, flied glass and official hiking maps are recommended.

  • Von Osten: via Landeck / Österreich in Richtung St. Moritz auf H27
  • Von Süden: via Reschenpass (Nauders-Martina) oder Ofenpass (Val Müstair-Zernez) auf H27

Scuol liegt unmittelbar an der Engadiner Strasse.
