Turn-by-turn directions
We start at the valley station of the Hörnli Express and hike first below the gondolas on a moderate ascent to the mountain station. From there we continue, first along the western slope, then along the southern flank of the 2824 metre high Parpaner Weißhorn. Then we climb up to the Parpaner Rothorn, below whose summit the trail leads to the ridge and on to the 2980m high Aroser Rothorn. The descent is less steep in a northerly direction. We only gain a few hundred metres in altitude up to the Erzhorn saddle. From there we follow a narrow path down the gravel slope. Passing the Älplisee and the Schwellisee, we finally return to the valley station of the Hörnli Express.
