The Madrisa Roundtour stands for an experience on this side and beyond the border. From Klosters (Switzerland) to Gargellen (Austria) and back again. It is not only a hike but an experience of nature as well. To be pals with nature ... and this for two or three days ! To calm down, to relax, to enjoy nature on signalled alpine paths. Take your time .....

On the first day you take the Madrisa cable railway up to Saaser Alp, then you wander to the 'Untersäss' and further to the 'Obersäss' . There you will be rewarded by a splendid point of view where you can have a rest. From here over green crests of 'Glatteggen' to the valley 'Chüecalanda'. You go straight on to the ridge 'Rätschenjoch' and across the flats 'Gafierplatten' (you will find a change of rocks: gneiss - lime) across the 'Butzchammeren' up to 'Gafier Joch' from where you get to Austria. Further on the the top end of the Schafberg cable railway and then down to Gargellen where you stay over night.

This tour can also be booked as a package called 'on smuggling tracks'. During the smuggling tour there is a number of tasks to be coped with, same as this was the case with real smugglers. You need to find nine depositories with smuggled goods as well as a customs hut, which nowadays is carried out with the help of the GPS. Besides smuggled goods and information about it worth knowing, the hiding-places also contain anecdotes about the lives of the smugglers. In addition these hiding-places supply you with necessary information such as GPS-dates which lead you to the next depository and finally to the goal of the smuggling tour.
