On this stage of the Klosters Circuit Trail, quiet forests alternate with interesting architecture. First you will see the Sunniberg bridge from below and then from above. Some time later you reach the RhB railway tracks and the interesting helical tunnels which help the Rhaetian Railway to cope with the difference in altitude between Klosters and Davos.

Author’s recommendation

On the way you will reach a place where you can see the railway tracks of the Rhaetian Railway (RhB) both above and below. In between is the helical tunnel. If you happen to pass by at the right moment, you can see the train first on one track and shortly afterwards on the other track (every hour just before and just after half past, the exact times can be found at www.sbb.ch).

Turn-by-turn directions

Follow the stream into the valley until you reach Bad Serneus. From now on follow the signs to " Sunniberg". As soon as you reach the Sunniberg, follow the signs along the gravel road towards "Grossrüti". Follow the gravel road until you reach the next signpost where "Grossrüti" is again indicated. Turn left, following a short stretch of meadow path back onto a gravel road. As soon as you reach the gravel road, you will see some huts to your left, stay on the gravel road until the next bend. There you turn onto a gravel road which leads to the left. From now on follow the signs in direction "Cavadürli". Shortly afterwards you will see the railway tracks of the Rhaetian Railway (RhB) both above and below, with the helical tunnel in between. Follow the path until you reach the next gravel road. Follow the gravel road downhill towards Klosters.
