Turn-by-turn directions
Stage 1: Klosters - DavosThis stage leads from Klosters Platz to Davos Dorf on the Via Valtellina, the former mule track for wine imports from the Veltlin. The route continues on the Jakobsweg (Route of St. James) to Davos Platz. The hiking time is about 4.5 hours and leads over the Wolfgangspass. The mountain trail requires medium technique and makes medium demands on your physical condition. The stage is about 14.5 km long.
Stage 2: Davos-ArosaYou follow the tracks of the Walsers in the high valleys of Graubünden. The Walserweg stage Davos - Arosa is about 20 km long and takes about 6.5 hours. There are 1,100 metres of altitude difference to overcome. After crossing Latschüelfurgga, the "Tritt" awaits you - the key section. The steep staircase, secured with wire ropes to hold on to, requires surefootedness, concentration and a head for heights, but you will be rewarded with a breathtaking view! To make this section easier, you can take the Schatzalp cable car in Davos Platz for the first 250 metres or so of ascent.
Stage 3: Arosa - LenzerheideThe last stage is also the longest stage. You have to calculate about 7.5 hours for the 18 km and the 1,200 metres in altitude. Our tip: Take advantage of the Arosa all-inclusive card and take the cable car up to the Hörnli and start the hike there. The last part from Parpaner Rothorn to Lenzerheide can also be overcome by cable car to shorten the hiking time.
