Exciting and challenging mountain tour, connecting the two regions Arosa and Lenzerheide. Mountain railways can shorten the tour.
Start in Lenzerheide: Take the ascent to the centre station Scharmoin on foot or by a mountain railway ride. Afterwards, take the Rothorn 2 cable car and head to the Rothorn summit. Once you have reached the highest point, you will enjoy the magnificent mountain panorama before heading down towards Gredigs Fuerggli and the Urdenfuerggli.
From the Urdenfuerggli to the Hoernli, you have the possitbility to take the Urdenbahn or cross the Urdental on foot. Pamper yourself at the Hoernlihuette before the descent to Arosa or enjoy a hiking stop along the way in the Carmennahuette or the Brueggerstube.
Start in Arosa: The starting point of the hike is the parking lot at Praetschli. The ascent to Hoernli is always slightly increasing. Hikers who want to complete this section by gondola lift, take the Hoernli Express from Inner-Arosa. The Lenzerheide holiday region can be reached on foot or by cable car. Make your way to the highest point of the tour, the Parpaner Rothorn at 2865 m above sea level. Enjoy the magnificent view over numerous peaks before heading down by the Rothorn 2 cable car.
