Entertaining hike to the vantage point of Vilan (2375 metres). In optimal conditions it is possible to see as far as the lake of Zurich as well as Piz Beverin.

This hiking route takes you from Seewis village past wonderful meadows and grazing land to the border of the woodland and further up. A first highlight is Sadreinegg which offers a fantastic panorama into Prättigau and the alps of Sweewis and Maienfeld. A perfect time for this tour are May and June because of all the wonderful flowers. Seewis is famous for its narcissus but then there are also all the different types of the anemones as well as the gentians to admire. On your way up to the peak of Vilan (2375 m) you might get the chance to observe some marmots and chamois. The Vilan is the vantage point in the front of thePrättigau.
Author’s recommendation
If you feel like making a detour down to the 'Bündner Herrschaft' (Malans, Jenins, Maienfeld, Fläsch) you can take the path in the direction to the top end of the cable railway 'Älplibahn' to get dow to Malans.
