Migrate into six stages across three valleys and language cultures. Via Sett is a distance hike from Thusis to Chiavenna, runs through alpine settlements. The well-maintained and marked trails do not require mountaineering skills. Something sure-footedness and good physical condition is required (SAC hiking scale: T2).

On a tour of Vicosoprano meet, inter alia, on the Pretorio (1583) with a torture chamber and round former. Residential tower and town houses. Die Via Sett ist von Mitte Juni bis Mitte Oktober, je nach Witterungsverhältnissen, begehbar. Die gut 93 km lange Weitwanderung von Chur (CH) nach Chiavenna (IT) kann in 6 respektive 7 Tagesetappen erwandert werden. Die durchschnittliche Marschzeit pro Tag beträgt 4 - 7 Stunden.
All stage destinations Via Sett are accessible by public transport (train or bus). Partial Reservations are required. The return from Chiavenna can be done via Splügenpass or Maloja to St. Moritz.
Getting there
Bivio over the Julier Pass down to Sils im Engadin. On Lake Sils drive along until after Vicosoprano.
