The hike with the contrasts: First through an enchanted forest, then a detour to sophisticated St. Moritz and finally a stop at the famous St. Moritz healing spring.

From the St. Moritz railway station, it is best to take the subway directly to the lake. Continue below the Hotel Waldhaus along the lakeside promenade towards the Meierei. The view across Lake St. Moritz to the destination next to the Catholic church and the imposing Piz da la Margna is unique. Just before the Meierei is a short ascent. At the Meierei, it is worth taking another look at sophisticated St. Moritz before continuing on to the idyllic Lake Staz. Lake Staz is a popular bathing lake with outdoor barbecue areas, a restaurant and kiosk, and nostalgic changing rooms are also available.

At the junction at the end of the lake, the path branches off to the left past the outdoor barbecue area and up into the forest. The Staz forest "Stazerwald" is known for its secret paths. Numerous paths lead through the forest, not only used by mushroom pickers, but also the numerous blueberry bushes tempt the hiker to take a diversion into the undergrowth.

If you stay on the hiking trail, it should not be a problem for you to find your way out of the enchanted forest at the shooting range. A short stretch of road past the entrance to the Hotel Waldhaus closes the circle at Lake St. Moritz. Walk along the lake to the pedestrian overpass and then up the escalator of the Serlettas multi-storey car park and you are in the middle of fashionable St. Moritz and the famous Via Serlas.

At the end of the famous Palace Archway, the path leads along Via Somplatz to the roundabout before the road branches off to the right into the woods after about 400 metres. The path leads above the road, past the dome of the Segantini Museum, towards Suvretta. There are six information panels along the way telling of the life and work of the painter Giovanni Segantini. Shortly before the path rejoins the road, it descends along the ski slope to the Signal valley station. Along the Kempinski Grand Hotel des Bains and the tennis centre the path leads into the forest.

At the crossroads all three routes join up. Now it's back to St. Moritz together. After a few minutes you reach the Eglise au bois, the French church of St. Moritz. If you are thirsty, this would be an opportunity to go down to the thermal baths and taste the world-famous St. Moritz healing waters in the drinks room. Otherwise, the trail continues past the playground (Kinderparadis) to the Polowiese with the athletics track, where top athletes from all over the world train at altitude to prepare for competitions. From there it is not far to the finish, just along the lake, leaving the Catholic church on the left, over the bridge and at the end of the skating rink is the final point of this hike.
