Parpan - Mittelberg - Parpan
The starting point of the cross-country skiing circuit is the cross-country ski centre in Parpan. From there you go to the Mittelberg, where you can enjoy a beautiful view of the opposite side of the valley with the Piz Danis and the Stätzerhorn. In the middle of the well-preserved mountain hut settlement one lets the everyday life behind.
On a somewhat more challenging, open terrain, it goes further to Capfeders. There is a magnificent view of the capital of Chur and the Grisons Rhine Valley. On the way back, the surrounding mountains can be re-enchanted. The route from Mittelberg to Parpan is then ideal for gliding and enjoying. The triangle round in Parpan is suitable for a comfortable "cool-down".
Not far from the start and finish of the cross-country ski trail the late-Gothic church as well as the Schlössli Parpan (small castle) are located. This was built in the middle of the 16th century and extended in 1675 to the final version with the cross-ridge, octagonal domed towers and balcony. A trip to the village is worthwhile.
