Mount Weisshorn with its 2653 metres is the highes mountain of Arosa, which is reachable by cable cars. From the top, one enjoy a breathtaking view over more than 400 peaks of Switzerland and the neighbouring countries. Mt. Weisshorn is perfect for an extensive day on the slopes or on the numerous winter and summer hiking trails of the holiday destination Arosa.

The hike on the Weisshorn peak, the highest excursion point in Arosa, offers an all-around view over the Grison holiday destination and the whole Schanfigg valley. The trail starts at the middle station of the Weisshorn gondola and leads over meadows and wide mossy planes constantly uphill. The last stage over boulders and rocks begins at the Sattel hut (not open during the summer season) and ends on the Weisshorn peak.

Arrived on the top, enjoy the breath-taking all-around view on over 400 Swiss mountains and some from abroad. A tour of the peaks is a must; particularly since one can also see Chur, the oldest town of Switzerland, from a very different perspective. After admiring the view, relax and relish the delicacies of the peak restaurant Weisshorn on 2653 metres above sea level. The 360° demo scope panoramic window allows you to continuously throw a glance at the stunning view.

Public transport

From Chur, the Rhaetian Railway brings you to Arosa in hourly intervals. The bottom station of the Cable car Arosa-Weisshorn is situated right next to the trainstation.

Getting there

From Chur, follow the signs to Arosa. After Obersee, turn right at the second opportunity.  After a few metres you will reach the valley station of the Arosa-Weisshorn cable car.

As there are only few parking spots available at the bottom station, we recommend to park your car at the parking garage Ochsenbühl. It is reachable by foot within a few walking minutes from the bottom station.
