During the largest rockslide of the Alps, an estimated 9450 years ago, around 10 cubic kilometres of rock thundered down into the valley.
The area of the Flims rockslide is an inclined grey area below the Cassons and merges into a vertical rock face at the Flimserstein. About 9500 years ago it was one of the largest landslides in Europe with 10 km3 of falling material.

Getting there

Von Flims-Dorf, vom Waldhaus, von Laax oder Trin ist Conn zu Fuss, mit dem Bike oder auch mit der Kutsche auf verschiedenen Wegen zu erreichen. Der Spaziergang durch den immer kühlen Flimser Grosswald dauert knapp eine Stunde, die romantische Fahrt mit der Kutsche ist kaum schneller.
