For 40 years the cheese making factory Maran produces Alpine cheese and other specialities from the Arosa Alpine milk. A big window in the new shop allows a glance into the modern cheese factory.
For 40 years the cheese making factory Maran produces Alpine cheese and other specialities from the Arosa Alpine milk. In order to produce Alpine cheese and other high quality products on site, the cheese making factory was extensively renovated from autumn 2008 to spring 2009. Since 2009 the factory is operating all year round. A big window in the new shop allows a glance into the modern cheese factory. Watch how milk turns into a delicious cheese.

The Rhaetian Railway runs every hour from Chur to Arosa (also in the opposite direction). On arrival at Arosa train station, take the Arosa local bus in the direction of Prätschli to the Maran stop.
By road
From Chur along the winding Arosastrasse to the end of the valley to Arosa. At the entrance to the village turn right towards Prätschli. The Cheese Making Factory Maran is located a few metres above Maran on the right-hand side of the road.Parking
At the entrance to the village there is a large signposting with the various parking facilities. We recommend the car parks just opposite the Cheese Making Factory Maran. You can find further information under Arosa Parking.
